Judgment-Free Eating Disorder Nutrition Counseling
Eating Disorder Care
If you or someone you care about is struggling with an eating disorder, Nourish to Flourish is here to help. We understand that it can feel overwhelming to find the support you need to overcome this mental illness. Oftentimes these disorders are accompanied by a sense of shame, which can make getting help particularly challenging. Nourish to Flourish provides essential, judgment-free support through nutrition counseling and therapy for individuals dealing with these disorders. Our compassionate Registered Dietitians are specially trained to treat patients with this illness and can provide comprehensive care through gentle guidance toward recovery.

At Nourish to Flourish, we know eating disorders do not discriminate. They can affect anyone. According to recent studies, at some point in their lives, 28.8 million people in the U.S. will experience one. Additionally, women are twice as likely to have an eating disorder compared to men and those who dieted frequently are five times more likely to develop one. Nourish to Flourish is all-inclusive, striving to help all individuals, but we do have an emphasis on women’s health—recognizing their unique nutritional needs and best practices to achieve those goals.

How We Treat Eating Disorders
At Nourish to Flourish, we use a gentle, holistic approach to help you on the road to recovery from an eating disorder. We are proud you are taking the first steps of receiving help and are with you every step of the way. Our goal is to make this experience as relaxing as possible for you. Your treatment will start with an individualized, thorough assessment, where we take the time to truly get to know, from your past to current. After the thorough assessment, your dietitian will provide individualized care, based on what your needs and goals are. We use many different modalities, including nutrition education, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy, Internal Family Systems, and Somatic Work. We are here to support, educate, and guide you through your recovery process, whatever that may look like. Our compassionate, specialized team of Registered Dietitians creates a safe space for you that is free of judgment where we help you rebuild and flourish in your relationship with food.
Trauma-Informed Care
Trauma-informed care is an approach that acknowledges the pervasive impact of trauma on a person’s health and eating behaviors. We work with the client as they show up in our office. Clients whom have experienced a lot of trauma may need time to feel safe (at a nervous system level) in order to even create goals. We understand and will honor it. We will work with clients regardless of where someone is at in their journey to recovery.
At Nourish to Flourish, we understand the unique and often troubling experiences of a person’s past. Our judgment-free approach and nurturing attitude allows our clients to feel comfortable in a safe space where they can openly express and work through past food experiences. This is a critical step in understanding how previous traumas affect our behaviors and personal choices toward food. Our mission is to help you recognize the emotional and physiological aspects of eating to make sustainable, positive nutritional choices.
