Meet Stephanie Walker

Stephanie Walker is a Registered Dietitian at Nourish to Flourish who received her Bachelor of Science in Nutrition and Food Science from the University of Maryland, and completed her dietetic internship at Virginia Commonwealth University. Stephanie has extensive experience working with eating disorders and common co-occuring conditions at various levels of care. She is passionate about helping others heal their relationship with food and body image from a trauma informed, whole person perspective

Stephanie is in network with Aetna, Cigna, Sentara, United Healthcare, United Healthcare Medicaid.  She is an out of network provider for Anthem BCBS.

Things To Do In The Forest Hill Area

Forest Hill is a charming and historic neighborhood located in the Southside of Richmond, Virginia, known for its leafy streets, early 20th-century homes, and vibrant community vibe. The area offers easy access to outdoor activities with Forest Hill Park and the nearby James River, while also boasting a growing mix of local shops, cafes, and the popular Forest Hill Farmers Market.

The 43rd Street Festival of the Arts is an annual juried fine arts and crafts event held in Richmond, Virginia’s Forest Hill neighborhood. Established in 1991 by local potter Robin Cage, the festival aims to showcase regional artisans and support the community.

The annual festival will feature 75 local and regional artists displaying a diverse array of handcrafted works. Attendees can also enjoy live music performances and a variety of food vendors.

A significant aspect of the festival is its commitment to philanthropy. Proceeds from an artist-designed T-shirt and a raffle of donated artwork benefit CARITAS, a Richmond-based nonprofit dedicated to providing shelter and support services to individuals experiencing homelessness or addiction. Over the years, the festival has raised more than $100,000 for CARITAS.

The festival is free to attend and offers a family-friendly environment. Street parking is available around the Forest Hill neighborhood, with additional parking at Forest Hill Park. Food trucks and music will be set up in the parking lot of Good Shepherd Episcopal Church.

Lewis G. Larus Park

Lewis G. Larus Park is a 106-acre urban forest located in Richmond, Virginia, bordered by Huguenot Road, Chippenham Parkway, and Stony Point Fashion Park. Despite its proximity to these bustling areas, the park offers a serene natural retreat with a network of trails suitable for hiking, trail running, and mountain biking.

The park features a variety of flora, including loblolly pines and running cedar moss, creating a lush environment for visitors. Its trail system is color-coded into red, yellow, blue, and green paths, with the red trail being the longest at approximately 1.08 miles. These trails traverse rolling hills, cross streams via footbridges, and pass through diverse woodland, offering an immersive experience in nature.

Forest Hill Park

This historic 105-acre park features hiking and biking trails, tennis courts, a lake, and the iconic Stone House. It’s also home to the South of the James Farmers Market, held every Sunday, offering local produce and artisanal goods.

Stony Point Fashion Park, located at 9200 Stony Point Parkway in Richmond, Virginia, is an outdoor shopping center that opened in 2003.
